How to Staycation at 1213 Walnut
July 25, 2022So you have a week off but you don’t really feel like traveling.
We get it! At 1213 Walnut, we are surrounded by so much culture, entertainment and nightlife that you really don’t have to travel, even outside of the city, to discover something completely new and inspiring.
Explore Philly’s Museums
From The Barnes Foundation to The Philadelphia Museum of Art to The Philadelphia Magic Gardens. If you want to surround yourself with art during your staycation, you’re going to have to hone your decision making skills because this is a tough one.
If it’s not so much art but a love of learning that is drawing you to Philadelphia’s museums, might we recommend a trip to the Museum of the American Revolution, the African American Museum in Philadelphia or The Franklin Institute. The decision is all yours!
Explore the Schuylkill Banks
How about a view of the city from a 2,000-foot long boardwalk that extends the Schuylkill River Trail from Locust to South Street. This walkway is pedestrian, runner, and cyclist friendly. It’s the best way to ride the Schuylkill without hopping in a boat. Of course, if you would like to kayak the river, that’s available too!
Enjoy 1213 Walnut
Once you’re back home, be sure to step into our indoor/outdoor fitness center, featuring its own terrace and yoga studio. You can also unplug in our Quiet Lounge or grab your bike from our workshop and storage and head back out for a day in the city.
