1213 Walnut is a Dog Owner’s Paradise, and Here’s Why
November 2, 2017At 1213 Walnut, we’re all about centered city living. And when your life is centered, the things you care about most—like your pets—are right there with you.
At 1213 Walnut, we’re all about centered city living. And when your life is centered, the things you care about most—like your pets—are right there with you. We’re proud to offer pet-friendly apartments in Philadelphia that are complete with some of the most jaw-dropping amenities you’ll ever find.
Our private, outdoor dog park on the second floor is equipped with pet-friendly turf and two giant “hamster” wheels for our most active pups who can’t quite let loose on the city streets. Plus, those who are lucky enough to live above the dog park will have a prime doggy-watching spot to see the pups in action.

On top of that, did you know our residents and their pups have 24-hour access to our dog spa? The spa’s two glass-tile doggy showers are perfect for dogs of all sizes, and the grooming table is adjustable so that both dog and owner are as comfortable as can be. Best of all, the dog spa takes grooming outside one’s own apartment, but kept inside the building—no trips required out into the cold!
Walnut the friendly stuffed pup lives in our leasing offices. Come say hi sometime!
In addition to all of our furry friends at 1213 Walnut, we have a canine mascot of our own—his name is Walnut, and according to property manager Anthony Barone, his breed is stuffed.
Plus, we’re lucky to live in a friendly neighborhood that loves its dogs. It’s a common occurrence to see a neighbor like Steve Duross walking his dogs down 13th Street, and plenty of local establishments open their doors to dogs. Our neighbor Megan Smith loves frequenting the Saxbys on 11th and Locust partly based on their top-notch treatment of her pup whenever she stops by for a visit.
We’ve heard that another one of our 13th Street neighbors, Cappelli Brothers Cigar Company, is always happy to have a canine companion in the house.

When you and your pup are craving slightly more wide open spaces, 1213 Walnut’s convenient location smack in the middle of two premier Philadelphia parks is a major perk. Whether you feel like strolling over to Rittenhouse Square or Washington Square Park, our residents are never more than a 10 or 15-minute walk from somewhere that’s green.
To see 1213 Walnut’s puppy-perfect amenities and imagine yourself strolling through our beloved neighborhood with your furry best friend, book a tour of our apartments today.
