After more than a year of shutdowns, you may be getting a little tired of your go-to Philly takeout and Netflix on the couch. The rink is the latest addition to Dilworth Park, in the scenic shadow of Philadelphia City Hall, just four blocks from your 1213 Walnut apartment. Through the end of June, the popular ice rink has transformed into a brand-new, retro roller rink. Covered by an art installation of neon hula hoops, strung with twinkling lights and featuring a vintage-style checkerboard floor, the space offers plenty to look at as you spin around the rink.

The rink is open seven days a week and features hour-long sessions for $10 a person ($8 for kids), with $5 skate rental available. If you’re looking to save some dough, check out the rink Mondays and Tuesdays until 5 p.m. for half-off admission.

When you’re done skating, you can enjoy all the other summertime fun abounding at Dilworth Park, including fountains, a garden, lawn games, public art, free exercise classes and much more. The park is also home to the Dilworth Park Café, featuring seasonal sandwiches, salads and snacks, perfect for a summer outing. You can also cool off at the Air Grille beer garden, offering craft cocktails and plenty of seasonal drinks, including the popular frozen Haku Japanese Vodka.
